Dogwhistle
Set in present-day Germany against the backdrop of a small village in Upper Swabia, ANDREA (59), a nurse and committed local councilor, campaigns for tolerance and a memorial to a murdered boy while her son ERIK (20) and his friends drift toward rightwing ideology. When a viral TikTok video shows hooded youths burning a rainbow flag, Andrea suppresses her suspicions. But when she discovers Erik among arrested neo- Nazis at Christopher Street Day, she can no longer look away. As the local council rejects the memorial and the community becomes increasingly divided, Andrea desperately tries to reach her son. Their confrontation escalates into violence when Erik physically attacks her. After Andrea learns Erik is involved in plans for a major attack, she faces an impossible choice: turn her son over to the authorities or protect him and betray everything she stands for.
